Does it work as one controller, two controllers or nothing recognised at all?

I am trying to get a pair of joycon/3rd-party for better posture. 3rd party seems to have better ergonomic designs. Any good advice on a controller?

I am aware of some discussions online where binbok may or may not work, which is a mix message. Just trying to see if there are new insights on what had been tested or any good recommendations

Regular joycons function as 1 controller. Previously there wasn't a way to split them and use them as separate controllers, but I'm not sure if that's changed or not in the last year.

I've never tried 3rd-party joycons with my deck, I have a set of Kinvoca ones that I can try pairing later tonight and see if they work.

Did you manage to find time for the testing the Kinvoca controllers? Still keen to know if it work with the deck

Yeah sorry, kinda forgot. So after trying it out, I could not get the Kinvoca ones to pair with the deck. There's a chance I'm doing something wrong with the pairing process because I no longer have the original instructions for the Kinvoca controllers and I can't find instructions online. But when I hold the sync button they appear to enter pairing mode (the player 1-4 lights light up just like the regular Joycons do when in pairing mode), but they never show up on the steam deck in the available to pair section. Doing the same thing with a standard joycon makes it show up available to pair right away.

Thank you very much for doing the test for all of us. It is good to know that Kinvoc may not be work, at least not right out of the box without any tinkering.

I guess the safe bet would be office joycon + egress grip case then for my case
