I was watching the news earlier and I've always wondered why people give interviews to the media. If my family gets massacred, the last thing I want to do is speak to a reporter. Not today, not ever. Conversely, a suspect saying "nagawa ko lang dahil sa mahigpit na pangangailangan" doesn't do him any favors.
Some people need to feel heard, especially if something tragic has happened and they're looking for justice, pero walang recourse.
