I have yet to meet anyone who didn't make the connection between Mome and Pope. It just put the two on equal footing. Xoxe doesn't seem like that much of an additional stretch to me - but you do you.
I expect there's something in this I have missed. I don't have the context of momes. Clue me in please?
Pope ultimately derives from the Latin for father. Mome is the (whimsical) counterpart i'.e. 'mother'. It's not really intended to be any deeper than that.
