Bored Ape had....employees??
I legitimately thought this was some dude drawing fucking apes and then selling them to morons
I thought it was a random ape generator just mixing up the components.
That certainly was the basis, they bought ape artwork from a freelance artist, then generated OVER 9000 variations and sold that stuff off. But, while the artist was a freelancer, they had ~~three~~ four co-founders iirc. Then they needed to get a bunch of celebrities on board. And they had lots of interesting plans for "perks" for their members. Some of which irl, some of which online. And of course you need some kind of customer service or at least Discord moderation. So yeah, I guess some employees were needed.
Apparently, Yuga Labs are wannabe nazis/4chan trolls, too.
After seeing the video for the second time today, I am still not sure about labelling them "nazis" but they're certainly trolling with their use of crypto-nazi and destructionist imagery.
Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

Well, there are those two high school sophomores that had to draw all those apes.
