I assume some people would double down on the necessity of war if their child died there. Like some kind of “the war was needed and correct, otherwise what did my child died for?”, you know? I would assume that the thought that your child died for nothing is too scary for some people.
I never thought of that, boy I hope some scumbag government never played into that kind of psychology
