I’m familiar with IR but like… does it need to be in the same room as my tv? My entire house has RF fans and I’d love to buy one device but idk if it’ll cover the whole 1700 sqft, or even other closed rooms. IR is a nice to have but I mostly care about RF. Does that need to be in the same room? Thanks y’all.

Yep - it’s essentially limited by line of sight or a single reflection. I have occasionally seen it go through a closed door but that’s a comparative rarity.

For example I have one that controls both a space heater and a light. It has line of sight for the space heater and reflects off the ceiling for the light. I had to fiddle a bit to get this to work - it didn’t work when inside a book case, for example.

Is this just for IR or RF and IR? If both I am bummed lol...

Sorry for duplicate replies, was getting errors. In my experience it was for both.
