Yeah. I keep it clean on a shelf, and listen to it. It's the pinnacle of the vinyl experience
It's already a limited resource that people want to listen to, and taking one more off the market is abhorrent to me.
I don't mind seeing the sleeves, posters, and books on a wall, but seeing the actual vinyl locked away in a picture frame (or made into sunglasses/bowls/etc) pisses me off.
Did vinyljerk travel to the fediverse? If so, this post goes there.
Who shit in your chips? I'm sure there's people who don't like sleeves, posters, or books unused on walls either - but people do, y'know, like personal items on display. I understand you don't and that's fair enough, but simmer down a bit; it's not like I melted them down into an anatomically incorrect Katy Perry doll.
I hung my hard drive from my rear view mirror. Looks pretty cool as a personal item on display but nobody I know can listen to the music that's on it - and, for fucks sake, nobody should dare disagree with my decision when I ask for opinions on a public forum.
My opinion is yours to adopt or discard. If my opinion is too hostile for you, you're looking for an echo chamber, and not discussion.
Yup, shot your opinion down hard didn't I? More like I said I understand you don't agree, but maybe tone down your vitriol. I'm not sure how I could have been more accommodating of your opinion without, well, joining your echo chamber.
Try not to pull an emergency stop with that decoration, yeah.
Also, I didn't create this to argue with people who do like their vinyl; I just wanted to promote some form of discussion in the new community. I'm glad you're enjoying the discs you've got.
No, your opinion is just straight hostile. That's not a discussion, it's an argument.
