The statue is of King David
What you linked looks nothing like or even similar to Mikes David.
... You mean other than the multiple statues of David pictured?
Or are you somehow upset learning what the statue is?
When he created it was that the ideal of what a man should look like based on the society was in or was it something he made thinking it should be what man should strive to be? and if so why?

Well on a phone and a lot of auto correct stuff I just deffered to mike. I don't think I have ever downvoted anything on lemmy. But you kind of got me wondering why so many replies to any question is a wikipedia page instead of something else.?
Well you see, wikipedia has information in it. You can read that information to learn about the subject you're interested in.
