There actually aren't THAT many mushrooms that are "insanely" poisonous. There are a lot that will make you quite sick though and enough that are insanely poisonous though. There are also some that will make you meet god in a different way.

Even if it doesn't kill you, it can be very bad if it makes you vomit a lot and get severe diarrhea, can even be indirectly fatal depending on circumstances. Also what's worse about the ones which are insanely poisonous is that many look insanely boring.

There are also some that will make you meet god in a different way.

I know, I've tried hallucinogenic mushrooms before when I was a teenager. Suffice to say I didn't like what they made me see, lots of scary shit, was not a pleasant experience, plus made me feel sick afterwards. 0/10 would not recommend, plus it was illegal but thankfully neither me nor my friend got in any trouble.
