Fuck Reddit.

Probably need a break from mindless scrolling anyway. It was a good run. I am pretty dumb but I think the dude who made RIF is Andrew. Regardless. Much respect to you. It is what it is and I get what reddit is trying to do but YOU are the reason I was a redditor for damn near 10 years. Can't say I'll be super active here but will return to my lurking ways. Hello from kbin.social! Reddit definitely was fun but the party doesn't have to stop there.

I've used RIF for the better part of 8 years. I love how it kept the essence of old.reddit and ran reliability. I recommended rif to many of my friends who use it now too. To the developers, Thanks for all the hard work and passion y'all put into the rif app. It's people like you who make small positive changes. To everyone who uses your app.

Could RIF become LIF if it was retooled to show posts from Lemmy instead? Or are the websites so different that the only thing which could be repurposed is the UI?

I'd love to get a logo sticker and give you some cash as a final thank you for injecting content into my brain for the past half decade.

I was on reddit for the better part of a decade. It helped me through a lot of challenges, and I even lost my virginity because of the site.

I just nuked my account and deleted it because reddit is practically unusable on anything but RIF and spez's greed will bite him in the ass in very short order.

Hopefully Lemmy picks up steam and gets a good portion of the millions of accounts and communities that are leaving reddit today.

Fuck you, spez.

I would like to immortalize it by creating a sticker for my laptop. This is my first post here after getting my 429 :'( After spending 9 years there, it was actually emotional for me when I the app wouldn't load any more posts. You were a good app RIF, the best <3

Well, before using RIF I wasn't even using Reddit. Thanks for the years of fun.

Lurked reddit for 12 years, less than 2k karma. Rif was the only reddit I called home. Glad we are sticking together. Now, back to lurking.

The vanced community is now rolling out a Patch do use our own API keys, and so, allow RiF to continue being used on reddit. Any of you tried this yet? (It's 3:25am and i'm on my phone, so i couldt look too much into it)

I landed here after RIF stopped working on my device and followed RIF link. This will be my new place to find content and see aggregation. Here it is to the end of reddit that starts today! 🍻

It really did make reddit feel golden platinum for almost 14 years.

I chose this username a couple of weeks ago so that in five years I will post something random on Lemmy and look back realizing I haven’t thought about Reddit in a while…

RIF was the only app that I have had on every single one of my phones. The app got me through boring times, tough times, and good times. Thank you, developers, and best of luck in your future endeavors

As far as I'm concerned RIF WAS reddit. It's sad, but I'm done now. I refuse to use their crappy native app or web interface. I hope lemmy takes off and fills the void that reddit is undoubtedly going to leave behind.
